The election is a day away and after over a year and a half of lies and generally bad behavior the political world will hold its breath tomorrow as it awaits the result of the nastiest election process ever viewed in my long lifetime. Shame on everyone involved. Even the ones that have tried to do the right thing have often fallen below their own standards, and those who didn’t have set a new low in political behavior. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like it will end even after we have a new president. The Right is already threatening ways that they will impede Clinton if she is elected, proving that they have no concept of how democracy is supposed to work and proving that they were the wrong ones to have put in office in the first place. But I have always been an optimist and I feel that despite the losers that can’t accept who they are, there will still be enough men of good will on both sides of the aisle to be able to be reasoned with and made to see that the only way to advance the agendas of the nation is to meet somewhere in the middle, to work together, to find solutions to our country’s many problems. Let’s hope there are enough intelligent people still available to make this happen.

James Comey no longer seems to be one of those people. Comey and the FBI have definitely gone off the ranch in the last couple of weeks, but we must realize that every organization is made up of a multitude of people with different values, morals, and codes of ethics. There are many agents in the FBI that are opposed to Clinton and it seems they have been willing to go overboard in their accusations against her. There are also many agents that feel exactly the opposite. That’s life.
But when Comey came out today, only two days before the election and a week after he did all the damage with his first announcement, he didn’t make up for his cowardice and stupidity, he only confirmed them.

This never-ending debate (It actually will end in one day) about the qualifications of Clinton and Trump has been going on far too long. Now that it’s almost over it’s finally time for one last look at what we should have been looking at over the last year and a half but somehow seemed to have missed. At least many of us have. So let’s consider their actions and then their character and see which one you really want to vote for, no matter what the other issues are.
Clinton brings years of public service to the table, fighting for children’s rights, against poverty and for America’s place in the world. Trump brings a daddy-financed business with a history of illegal bribes, massive financial failures and partner crushing bankruptcies. He has created phony cons like Trump University that allowed him to steal millions from unsuspecting potential students. He preaches job creation and job friendly trade policies but his own manufacturing entities have their entire product made by cheap labor overseas; this while Clinton fights for union rights and power in our country.
Hillary has come out in favor of building a modern educational system, raising the minimum wage, creating new infrastructure while replacing the old. She is against the proliferation of the use of fossil fuels, for more protection of the environment, for taking the prison system out of private hands and for fixing our healthcare system, all of which Trump is against. It’s like he’s running against the world and still there are those who will vote for him.
Then there’s character. Trump refers to Clinton as Crooked Hillary. Yet she was the one who was acquitted after a long investigation into her emails while he is still facing jail when the case against Trump University comes to trial. He brags about bribing building inspectors and housing officials, a felony, yet there is really no felony case involved with either Hillary’s emails or the Clinton Foundation, and the nonsense about Benghazi has been soundly disproven over and over in front of mostly GOP committees, that it is no longer a real thing.
Clinton has fought for children ever since she appeared on the political scene. Trump has raised a pair of young punks who think it’s fun to kill animals on the endangered species list for sport.
Then, of course there is veracity. Trump blows the top off the truth scale, lying 71% of the time he speaks, and Clinton comes up with a 21% rating, which is about standard for politicians. Is there a debate here about who tells the truth? Trump is so unacquainted with the truth that he will lie about things that he said on camera the day before. It’s like he’s in an alternate universe where truth just doesn’t exist. But while we’re on character, let’s talk about Trump’s views and treatment of women. One doesn’t have to ask any of the dozen or so women who have come forth and accused the big orange of molesting them. All we have to do is listen to Trump as he brags about what he feels he is entitled to do to women. This guy is a flat out degenerate misogynist.
And then there are the competitive charities. The Clinton Foundation raises billions and turns that money into help for millions all over the world. On the good charity scales, it is rated above the American Red Cross. It has provided drugs and medical care for millions. Neither of the Clintons has ever taken a cent from it. In fact, they have donated millions to it. Now let’s look at Trump’s charity, which has raised thousands from those trying to curry favor from a rich guy who can hand out jobs even if he stiffs his workers on the last payment. But what does this charity actually do for the people? Well it provides large, ego-enhancing paintings of Trump for the lobbies of the clubhouses at his golf courses. It also makes illegal political contributions, (read bribes) to District Attorney’s who used to be prosecuting Trump University. If you can find any social value in that it’s time you stopped snorting that shit and make your way to rehab.

To give you an idea what a morally corrupt mess Trump is, some guy appeared at the foot of the stage at one of his press deals yesterday with a sign that read Republicans against Trump. The Trump thugs beat the crap out of this guy while somebody yelled gun and the Secret Service rushed Trump off stage. Okay, event over. The guy was questioned by the Secret Service and released. He has been on the tube and looks and sounds like a sane person who just doesn’t like Trump, which definitely adds to his apparent sanity. He was exercising his right to protest and he got the shit beat out of him.
So what does the Trump campaign have to say about this? Well, they claim that Trump bravely escaped an assassination attempt. REALITY CHECK! Despite the many valid reasons to do so, no one tried to kill Trump. Despite this, his idiot sons and his degenerate campaign manager, created a phony scenario to get sympathy for the most unsympathetic clown in the history of American elections.

Before we go; one last note on Trump’s latest fantasy. He has gone on record, that if Hillary is elected, she will let in 650 million refugees in the first week. That’s about twice the population of this country. The old saying is; you can’t fix stupid. You can’t fix a lying nut case either.

And simply because they make me fighting mad, I have to mention one last time the lying. Trump we already recognize as a world-class liar but he seems to have bred a coterie little liars that all follow his lead. Kellyanne Conway, his chief of staff is a very clever woman and as cynical a liar as has ever been seen on the political stage. Kellyanne’s favorite lie is about how Hillary is completely dishonest and a criminal who has yet to be convicted simply because of her connections. That statement flies directly in the face of truth. The fact is that Hillary has never been convicted of anything at all, simply because there has never been any proof of any of the ludicrous charges thrust at her by the GOP and its toadies. For thirty years she has beat the crap out of everyone and everything that the GOP has thrown at her and they hate her for it. They have, in true GOP style not tried to beat her legitimately at the polls but instead have tried to discredit her in the press by falsely accusing her of any ridiculous lie they can conceive.
Unlike Trump, Hilary is not a crook. She doesn’t steal people’s wages after they have worked for her, she doesn’t take their money for a fake, useless college, she doesn’t cheat them out of their fair share of profits by filing bankruptcy and getting out of paying her just debts. That is Trump’s bailiwick. There’s only one thing to say about that. If that’s what you want as president, that’s what you deserve.
